Here’s an incorrect sentence we say or hear often in India:
“Be rest assured that the work will be done”.
What are the correct versions, then?
“Be assured that the work will be done”: someone here is asking you to feel assured or in other words, is assuring you that the work will be done.
“Rest assured that the work will be done”: you are asked to rest, being assured that the work will be done.
So, use either “Be assured” or “Rest assured” but not “Be rest assured”.
