


Auxilium College hosted its 71st Investiture Ceremony on 4th July 2025, a grand occasion that marked the formal inauguration of the new College Union. The ceremony was graced by the presence of Dr. Sandhya Pentareddy, Executive Director of Vellore Institute of Technology, who served as the chief guest.
The event commenced with a dignified procession, led by the union leaders and student secretaries of various departments, as the esteemed dignitaries were escorted to the dais. The programme began with the ceremonial lighting of the Kuthuvillaku by the dignitaries, followed by a warm welcome address by Dr. Gina George, Assistant Professor of Computer Applications.
A poignant prayer service set the tone for the ceremony, after which the Principal, Dr. Sr. Arockia Jayaseli, formally presented the newly elected leaders to the gathering. The College Secretary, Dr. Sr. Mary Josephine Rani handed over the college flag to the College Union President, Ms. Roslien of III B.Com and the chief guest pinned up the badge for her. The Principal pinned up the badges for the Vice President, Ms. Nirmala of II BCA, and the Secretary, Ms. Keerthana of III BCA. Furthermore, the secretaries of various departments, clubs, and movements, as well as the class representatives, received their badges from their respective Heads of departments and staff in charge, marking a significant milestone in their leadership journey.
The leaders took a solemn pledge to serve the institution with utmost dedication and integrity. Following the pledge, they lit their candles and placed them on the stage, symbolizing their commitment to shine like beacons of light, guiding and inspiring their peers.
In her inspiring address, Dr. Sandhya Pentareddy emphasized the importance of self-empowerment and empowering others, motivating the students to take on their new roles with confidence, responsibility, and a sense of purpose.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Mr. Nagarajan, Assistant Professor of Computer Applications. Ms. Sivaranjani, Head and Assistant Professor of Computer Applications, anchored the programme. The ceremony culminated with the College Anthem, symbolizing unity, camaraderie, and shared purpose among the students and faculty.
