At the Tech Summit hosted by The Hindu, the session titled “AI, Academia and Resilience: Building Institution and Talent for an Uncertain Future” featured Dr.Sandhya Pentareddy, Executive Director of Vellore Institute of Technology, along with other distinguished dignitaries, who shared insights on preparing institutions and talent for an AI-driven future.
Dr. Sandhya Pentareddy emphasized that “Universities produce intelligent, inquisitive, and adaptable individuals who shape future society. She adds that learning goes beyond online courses, with students gaining as much from peer interaction, faculty engagement, and industry exposure”.
She also addressed that by proactively developing models to understand the impact of job losses and fostering strategic partnerships, institutions can effectively navigate change and help prevent economic downturns such as recessions.
