Day One of the 40th Annual Convocation of VIT Vellore was officially declared open by the Honorable Founder & Chancellor, Dr. G. Viswanathan.
A remarkable 11,112 graduands were awarded their degrees including 8,310 undergraduates, 2,802 postgraduates, and 451 Ph.D. graduands. Among them, 203 rank holders and 68 gold medalists were honored for their excellence by Chief Guest, Honorable Mr. Justice R. Mahadevan, Judge, Supreme Court of India, Guest of Honour, Mr. Sivakumar Sundaram, CEO & Executive Director, Bennet Coleman & Co Ltd (Times of India Group) Dr. Sekar Viswanathan Vice President, VIT University and Dr. Sandhya Pentareddy, Executive Director, VIT University.
